Today Me and SARATH  attended the SEVA MELA.,  it was sucessfully completed to day and the SEVA MELA was very nice one, the MELA was successful by the volunteers.

Karmayog Seva Mela

 

Seva Mela - where people come and have fun but with a difference.

 

As part of this event, NGOs participate and put up stalls to spread awareness about their services and activities and encourage visitors to be part of their organization and also contribute in the form of cash or kind.

 

Venue:  Kowtha Kamakoti Kalyana Mandapam, Kowtha Swarajya Vihar,

10, Padmaraonagar, Scunderabad – 500 025

 

Estimated Number of Stalls: 20 (8 feet depth and 6 feet width)

Additional                           :  5 Food Stalls + 3 Open door entertainment events

 

Dates:    Oct 1 and Oct 2                              Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

 

NGOs can showcase their own products and artifacts for sale. NGO's may request and bring in performances by artists who would want to support, or competitions like painting competition for children, etc. NGO's may choose to put up some rides like merry go round kind for small children and collect the proceeds as funds for their NGO's.

 

NGO's could also tie up a partner for the following: Food Stalls, Games, Events, Entertainment or Sell food items and articles. All the proceeds from the sales of all these items will be retained by the NGO which brings in the partner. This event will also leverage on the power of the group to raise awareness and funds for NGOs.

We are looking for ideas to make the mela more fun and could attract visitors, ideas for promotion, sponsorship for logistics and promotion for the mela, people willing to perform during the mela, participation by NGO's (so far 15 NGO's have confirmed), Food courts wanting to help any NGO of their choice coming forward to set up and sell their items.
