Being Happy: Five Keys to Working on Who You Are..
There are five keys to working on who you are as a person. Happiness is an inside job.
1. Find Your Spirituality
We have a tendency to spend our entire lives looking outside and trying to grasp impermanent things, yet seldom do we take the time to look inside for answers and happiness. Start your research for happiness inside and the things you seek outside will flow to you naturally.
2. Be Happy For What You Have
In a materially oriented world many of us are stuck on a desire driven autopilot. We set our eyes on acquiring the next best thing, thinking that is where our happiness resides yet when we receive the thing we desired for so long we quickly find ourselves wanting something newer, something better and more popular. This is a sure sign that happiness doesn't reside in the acquisition of property. There are so many people in the world with so little, so be happy for what you do have not for what you don't have.
3. See the Good in People
Appearance has unfortunately become very important in life, particularly in the corporate world and the dating world, yet it is vital that we leave our minds open to see the good in people and not judge them by the way they look or on our first impressions. Contrary to popular belief, the saying "first impressions are everything" isn't strictly true. We are all individuals and not all capable of instantly making the best impression, in fact those with great depth and substance to their personality often take longer to come out of their shell.
4. Remain Open to Change
Change is inevitable and along with dying the only sure thing in life. Remaining open and accommodating to change will present positive opportunities and open the door for progression. Don't reject change because you fear the outcome or an upset in your routine, embrace change and accept that it is entirely natural and necessary.
5. Let Go of Fear and Negative Predictions
Fear is hugely restricting. When we harbor fear we tend to make negative predictions on situations we are scared of or uncomfortable with. For example, "There is no point in going for that job because I won't get it." Or, "I can't retire early". These predictions are based on a fear of the unknown and the likelihood is the outcome will be nothing like the prediction. Stop letting fear control you and allow yourself to start getting more out of life.
Be happy being your authentic self. Discover a happier you now
