Greetings

Many people think that Wildlife can be protected if people can coexist. But practically is it possible?
No
Birds, deer can co-exist. They eat grains or the people may even feed them. A tiger cannot coexist because it will eat livestock. This is its food. Or it will eat people. For a Tiger Humans are just like any other animal. This brings it in direct conflict with humans.

Also human settlements get bigger and bigger. As the land is never enough for humans, they will encroach more and more forest lands. This will force the tigers to enter human settlements.

Some people may argue that people have lived in forests for centuries

Earlier the Forest cover was more and the human population was less today its viz. We have seen a lot of change in our cities in the past 10 years. Today Is it practically possible to go for a shopping by walk somewhere near Abids or Panjagutta as our parents did in 80's. So, we cannot compare the past and the present.

How Tigers get killed?

More than poaching these animal get killed by villagers living inside the Forests. Sometimes they may poison the animals, sometimes they electrocute by setting up electric fence in the forest edges (which is illegal)

Mining and Constructions?

Its easy to sit in our offices and say that the Big Miners and Contractors are destroying our forest.
We never think that it is the wastage of resources like electricity, water etc in both Urban and rural places will increase the pressure on TRANSCO and other Depts. End of the day the pressure comes on the Forest and the Wildlife has to pay the price.
Govt may give the permissions and contractors will come with new projects.
Because its the GENERAL PUBLIC which wants MORE and MORE

Will Eco-Tourism help saving our forests?

I don't want to give the answer. Just question your self..
What happens if Huger structures come within a forest area attracting more people who simply walk in to any place throwing plastics etc. If you get a chance to visit a Zoo just observe the people rather than the animals. Their behavior towards animal is more than wild.

Few people may give tourism examples of forests in Karnataka, Maharastra and few other States.
In those places Wildlife was protected first then tourism is entertained but with a great responsibility with Trained staff from the respective Forest Dept Staff.

Declaring More forests as Tiger Reserve in A.P?
First of all Where are the Tigers, particularly in A.P?
Srisailam is the worlds biggest Tiger Reserve but when it comes to Population density of Tigers We need to search the name among the Last Ranks
With couple of Tigers a Sanctuary cannot get the tag called "Tiger Reserve"
