Let us not lose our zeal in doing good, for in due season we will reap a reward, if we do not give up
Blessed is he who has pity on the poor, for Yahweh will deliver him in time of trouble. God will preserve him, and keep him alive. Indeed, he will be blessed on the earth! For You, oh Yahweh, will not deliver him into the hands of his enemies.
Love your enemies. Do that which is good to them, sharing your blessings without expecting anything in return; and your reward will be great! For in this way, you will show them that you are children of the Most High, who is kind to unthankful and wicked people. Be merciful, as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you in good measure—pressed down, abundant, and running over into your bosom. For the measure of good you do for others will be returned to you.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slanderous speech be put away from you, along with all malice, that you may be kind and sympathetic, forgiving one another as God, for Christ’s sake, has forgiven you.
Two people working together will produce greater results for their labor: if one should fall, the other is there to help his fellow-worker up. Nevertheless, if one should fall who tries to stand alone, no one will be there to help him back up, and thus he will suffer loss. To put it another way, if two lie together they will keep warm; but how could anyone keep warm while lying alone? Or, if one were to stand alone in battle, another could overpower him; but if two people were to standing together, they could withstand an attack; and three people would be even better, because a threefold cord is not easily broken!
For whatever was written in the past, was given to us for our learning, so that through patience and comfort of the Scriptures, we would have hope.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped to perform every good work.
Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
And this is our confidence, that if we pray according to His will, He will hear us, and give us what we ask for, because our desires are in agreement with His thoughts for us.
I am giving you a new commandment: Love one another! Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this, everyone will know you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
He who despises his neighbor is guilty of sin; but happy is he who has mercy on the poor!
Give and it will be given to you in good measure—pressed down, abundant, and running over into your bosom. For the same degree with which you measure will be measured back to you.
Finally, my brothers, let whatever is true, and honorable, and just, and pure, and lovely, and commendable, excellent in virtue and worthy of praise, fill your thoughts!
