Dear Friends
We are organizing "Karmayog Seva Mela", a unique event as part of Joy of Giving Week wherein we are getting NGO's to come under one roof to spread awareness about their services and also exhibit and sell their wares.

People could bring any items that they want to donate in the Mela venue.

I am attaching a poster and a write up that would provide more details.
We look forward to your kind presence for the event and also your help and support in spreading about this to all interested people and getting more and more people getting connected with the Joy of Service.

Thanks and Best Regards
Thiagarajan

For More  about....Karmayog Seva Mela

We would have heard and been to Nursery Mela, Crafts Mela, Cooking Mela, Career Mela and the like not to bring in the big ones like Kumbh Mela. But we would not have come across the term Seva Mela.

Any mela is a fair where people come to spend time, see and learn  about the new things that have come, buy some, play some games, have some food and generally have a good time.

Seva Mela is an expression of joy of service to humanity by bringing together NGO's and people together. To bring social workers, corporate, volunteers, students and general public under one roof and share the joy of service. Any mela should have in addition to the main item, some fun and games to keep people and especially young children engaged and entertained. Also nothing is complete unless the palate and the stomach's needs are also addressed - so comes food too. Visitors could enjoy the food being prepared and offered by the NGO’s and their helping partners. The proceeds from the sales will go the NGO’s.

During the Joy of Giving Week, Karmayog is organizing a Seva Mela at Hyderabad by bringing in NGO's together on Oct 1 and Oct 2. The venue will be Kowtha Kamakoti Kalyana Mandapam, Kowtha Swarajya Vihar, 10, Padmaraonagar, Secunderabad.

The venue is being sponsored by Kowtha Trust and stalls are being sponsored by Naamdhari Events. Organizations like Liquidhub are sponsoring the events by providing donations for covering the costs involved in the mela.

The mela would include a range of NGO's addressing different needs in the society and they intend to make it engaging to the visitors by innovative means. Many of the NGO's plan to sell products made by their organizations. Interesting food items are going to be available to the visitors. There are some games for students and some fun events for small children. In the evening between 5 PM and 8 PM on both the days there are plans to hold variety entertainment that would include - music, dance, skits and plays.

Issues addressed by participating NGO's include: shelter for the underprivileged, educational aid for the underprivileged, concerns and needs of women and empowering them, environmental concerns, needs and concerns of tribal, health issues and awareness, needs of disabled people,  mental health awareness, etc.

Visitors can look forward to spend their time knowing about different NGO's and their services. They may bring items to be given off - could be dry ration like Rice, Dal, Oil, etc or any new or used clothes, shoes, toys, electrical and electronic items that are not used any longer, newspaper, school books, etc and monetary donations.

This is a unique effort to bring together NGO's and people. Most of the people would want to enjoy the joy of giving and many NGO's are in need of participation by people in their service. This Karmayog Seva Mela during the Joy of Giving Week would bring NGO's and people together.
